The road to adoption

Adopting takes preparation.

Four steps so the arrival goes well, for you and for them.

  1. Get informed

Available time, budget, housing, other pets: be realistic before choosing.

  2. Meet

See the animal several times, in its own environment if possible.

  3. Formalise

Ask for the health record, identification and terms of transfer in writing.

  4. Welcome

Plan a vet visit within the first few days and a quiet corner.

The rules, plainly

It all comes down to a few numbers.

How it works

Three steps, one community.

A clear, complete alert gets noticed faster. Here is the path, from posting to resolution.

  1. Step 1

    Post your alert

Status, species, place, a photo: the essentials are enough. You can edit it afterwards.

  2. Step 2

    The community sees it

Your post appears in the list and on the map, filterable by status and species.

  3. Step 3

    You get contacted

By phone or e-mail, depending on what you chose to share. Deactivate the alert as soon as it is settled.

Safety

Four good habits before any contact.

Stay vigilant: an alert is posted by a private individual.

  • Nothing before meeting

Never send money before you have seen the animal.

  • Check the microchip

A vet can read the chip in a few seconds.

  • Keep one detail secret

Have an unpublished sign confirmed before any handover.

  • A single channel

Share only the contact that is needed.
